Where data for this scheme was taken? Was it from public transport scheme, released in 05.1986? If yes, I would be very grateful if you could share a scan or photos of it. This would really help me with precision of Vilnius and bus lines history: http://tinklarastis.nvtka.lt/1386.aspx Currently there is a gap from 1983 to 04.1987 due to absence of public transport schemes (or line lists) from this period. In return, I could share with many other schemes I have collected.
As far as I remember, yes, it was taken from a 1986 map of Vilnius. Unfortunately, I left it in my Warsaw basement... I visited your website multiple times and I really appreciate the great job done by you and other Lithuanian fans - I remember that 10 years ago it was impossible to get any information on Vilnius transport history except from the few Soviet-era maps. When I visited the 1st depot and the VT management in 2006, they told me that they had a little museum, but most of the stuff was destroyed during a heavy rain... Did you ever try to access old maps or other sources in the National Library?
Most of that museum data is stored in government managed archives so it could be restored but it might take a long time to find everything.
I did try to search library for maps but there were only newer (1997, 1998) or the most popular soviet (1977-78, 1981+1983) maps which I already have. The other maps were just tourist maps without any public transport. Actually it seems that almost everyone had 1981 or 1983 year maps both in Lithuanian and Russian
There were some newspapers which published news or even schedules of public transport but I don`t know which ones and which date should I search.
