You made a mistake. This photo can be only in train's photogalery. It is not a metro or tramway. This is train.
Yes, Piotr - I did say this at http://www.phototrans.eu/14,542685,0,Tatra_Class_89_0__420_964_9.html. But I wanted pepole to see what came before
It could be interpreted both as a local, commuter rail, and as an interurban tramway. I don't see any differences with the modern light rail or subway systems.
Thanks Jarosz - I agree. We allow metros here and even the London Underground (which is heavy rail), so 'hybrid' light rail systems like this need to have somewhere to be shown The earlier generation of cars that operated here were almost pure Tatra T3 (see my earlier picture today) and ran into the street at Poprad.
Anyway - correct name of town where you've taken this picture is Štrbské Pleso
BTW Jarosz - you asked yesterday about starting an intellectual discussion on phototrans.eu - I think this is how you do it!!!
Pictures of this vehicle will now be posted on both parts of the gallery, but am not 100% sure whether this is a problem. Anyhow, I think this is more of a LRT than - let's say - Merseyrail :P
Nie chcę grzebać, bo nie wiem jak się skończy dyskusja o lokalizacji tych fot (pomimo, że są ciekawe to uważam, że ich miejsce nie jest tutaj), ale nie ma takiej firmy jak TEZ.
