Cel budowy tego ronda miał ułatwić wjazd do Tarnobrzeskiego Parku Przemysłowo Technologicznego, gdzie obecnie nic się nie dzieje (poszukiwanie inwestorów). Jak na razie świeżo wybudowane rondo pełni funkcję utrudnienia w ruchu na szlaku Tarnobrzeg - Sandomierz.
