I can see a reflection of myself in the cab window... Lars
Indeed - two old wrecks for the price of one........
it was a bright day, Karol!
I remember, but the museum is bloody dark I'm surprised you saw anything in there
ahh well... the sun was coming in through the glass roof. But I have had so many Guinness refreshers the previous day (when we went to see the Hythe pier - and luckily they serve it on the pier in Southampton) I simply had to wear shades... I am a member of the museum friends and usually just nip in there to visit the smallest room because its clean and free but this was the first visit after the rebuilding so we went quickly around all the exhibits (not much new really, just less stuff and differently arranged - a lot still impossible to photograph really). The shop is excellent now (though I still miss the long long gone "collectors corner" they used to have until the early 1990s). I nearly went mad on buying some more moquette cushions (sitting on one right now) but this will have to wait till my next visit when I come over with a large suitcase. Squeezyjet will love it, I only hope next time they do not cancel the flight "due to crew sickness" again. The sponsored hotel was nice though and I had a few more Irish refreshers followed by the most expensive Pimms ever! Lars
