Were produced in 1996. Plant "Chavdar" - Bulgaria. The chassis is built under license from Steyr.
So they were built only in 1996, and, I guess, only for Sofia? We had similar serie of buses in Poland from 1992-1993, built also under license of Steyr.
Can I see their pictures? Or at least model them? I'm not sure whether they are produced only in 1996. But are produced for the cities of Sofia and Burgas.
This model was Jelcz M180. 1 was delivered in 1992 to MZA Warszawa, 7 in 1993 to MPK Wrocław. Recently I have read article in old Polish car magazine from 1980s. The plans of Steyr to cooperate with Eastern bus producents were described there. It's interesting that they managed to turn them partly into reality.
Unfortunately - works Chavdar went bankrupt precisely because of the buses 141. Thanks for the photos and information on your bus. Very similar to ours and are very beautiful. Are there still any other bus in Poland?
5 of them still on route in Wrocław Two was retired after accidents. One in Warszawa is out of service.
In 1970s in Poland we had Jelcz PR110U, created by Berliet for Poland, but built of Polish parts. In this model everything was faulty
