Well it's not like they're in a "client-facing" role :P Nonetheless, many British bus companies don't have a glass partition between the driver and the passengers - e.g. Trent Barton in Nottingham or First Scotland East (Edinburgh and Fife) - not exactly the safest cities in the UK, right?
The type of 'pond life' I deal with in my daily work - drug addicts, thieves and people with mental problems - makes me wonder if it's safe, though. I'm surprised that the drivers haven't objected.
