4 october 2008 - Timisoara, Romania – zajezdnia Dambovita. This Austrian tram has a fascinating history. Built in 1900 by Ringhoffer of Praha, it ran in Wien until 1954, when it was heavily rebuilt in the style shown here. From 1974 to 1976 it worked on the St Polten tramways, then passed to the Wiener Lokalbahn as their works car 07. Now it stands in Dambovita depot yard awaiting possible restoration by the local tram museum group.

Hi Straphan - welcome back! I would imagine it came here on the back of a lorry - in fact, I've seen some pics of the move somewhere on a web page. Timisoara already have a more modern (and fully operational) Wien tram they use for museum trips, but I think this one arrived here a little later.
