Thanks for info, Jacek. Do the people at ZETiT (and tram fans) realise how historic this is?
Maybe they realise, but I don't think they would be interested. Maybe fans would feel like taking care of it but we/they don't have means to restore such a tram.
Yes, I understand - not like (for example) Praha or Wien where they have huge museums and the money to take care of things. To say this is a Falkenried B Type makes sense, as they ran in service here until mid-1950s. So, must be from about 1910-1915 period - nearly 100 years old! I hope one day it is saved. If we found such a thing in England, we would try to make sure it is not destroyed. Thanks again for your help
It's from 1914 year. We also have works car on the chasises from 1922-1923, 1906-1912 and 1925 year (types P7, A and C). /kl
@JacekM - very good! Did you go on a special training course to qualify as a Tram Chassis Spotter? I'm impressed
Nope I'm just proud holder of a huge book on trams in Warsaw which was published for 90th anniversary (I & II part) and for 100th (III and IV part)
Ah, yes - I have two of these books, but they are lent to a friend at the moment - also, the Polish language makes it hard for me!
Polish language is not so hard Additionally, in Poland is "still alive" one more tram typ C (#2109) from 1925 year. Now the wreck of this is in Krakow. /kl
Yes, I know the wrecks in Krakow - very sad they have got in so bad condition ;-(
They also have unique wrecks from Gdańsk (2x Ringhoffer), Poznań (P1d called "two rooms and kitchen") and many Kraków cars. We tried to bring our #2109 to Warsaw, but now it's impossible. As I know, that friends form Gdańsk tried to bring one of ex theirs cars too. And colleagues from Poznań too... /kl
