20 february 2018 - Mendoza, Pellegrini - 25 de Mayo. The light rail (`Metrotranvia`) in Mendoza commenced operations in 2012, as one of the first modern LRT systems in South America. The system was built under a low-cost scheme - without any significant infrastructural investments (such as grade-separated crossings), using refurbished rails, simple single-wire catenary, and second-hand Duewag trains purchased from the U.S. city of San Diego. The line entirely follows a former railroad right-of-way.
20 february 2018 - Mendoza, estacion Mendoza - the city terminus for the LRT line, located on the site of the former San Martin railway station. As for now, trains terminate here and return to the suburbs after taking a short break. In 2020, the line will be extended several kilometers to the north - we can see the new section being built in the background.

20 february 2018 - Mendoza, Gutierrez. The final stop of the 12,5 km / 7.8 mi light rail line, located in the southeastern outskirts of Mendoza metropolitan area.
20 february 2018 - Mendoza, Belgrano. The line begins with a section placed in the median of Belgrano street, running along the western edge of Mendoza`s central district.
