Routes terminating in Yangon end at the Highway Bus Centre north of Yangon, and the inter-urban buses, therefore, do not enter the city itself. If you have no knowledge of the local language, your chances of finding an appropriate connection at the Bus Centre are non-existent.

15 october 2018 - Thanat Pin Road. When entering Bago, the visitor will notice large numbers of private mini buses parked along the Yangon-Bago-Mandalay highway at the city border. These vehicles cross through the city of Bago on an ongoing basis during the day. You may note that the vehicle, which is manufactured in Japan, has right hand steering and, accordingly, has its entrance door at the "wrong" side. Myanmar switched to right hand traffic in 1970.
