29 april 2006 - Blackpool, Lancashire, UK – Cabin, North Promenade. REALLY CRAZY! This ‘Pantograph’ tram was built in 1928 as #170 and converted to show visitors the famous Illuminations that take place along the seashore each autumn. It also lights up to make an impressive moving spectacle. Blackpool has several Illuminated Trams, but some are now very old and can’t run in public service (this one does, but is rarely seen during daylight).

Well, you did mention a hovercraft tram - this is the next best thing (in fact, Blackpool has one of those, too!)
