Absolutely none. Some people want to get rid of the streetcars as well, including at least 1 prominent radio personality. The future seems to be CNG or diesel-hybrids.
Vancouver are getting new articulated trolleys, Edmonton's are getting a bit old (these 1982 models are still running). There was about a dozen in Ontario and they have now all gone.
