Other Information | Metrobus was formed in 1983. In 1997 Metrobus expanded greatly with the acquisition of East Surrey Buses of Godstone and Leisurelink of Newhaven. In September 1999 Metrobus was purchased by the Go-Ahead Group. Metrobus replaced Arriva Kent & Sussex`s Crawley operation, since that time Metrobus dominates bus operation in the area. In 2007 the company took over the Orpington depot and operations from First London. Another operation taken over by Metrobus is the Horsham depot of Arriva Southern Counties, this taking place in October 2009. From 2014 this operator operates solely from West Sussex. The London part of the operations passed to Go-Ahead London General in 2014. In 2014 the buses from the West Sussex operation had 6000 added to their fleet numbers and the company is linked with the operations of Brighton & Hove. * London red vehicles ought to only be recorded there * There`s a fleetlist in the website: https://www.metrobus.co.uk/enthusiasts/ |
