The Osijek tramways are noted for two things - one is the ridiculous numbering system (with fleet numbers reaching many thousands for no apparent reason) and the very flamboyant colour schemes of some of its trams. Here is an original Osijek Tatra T3 tram where the painter was obviously under the influence of some kind of stimulant!

The numbering system is pretty straightforward, they just add the year of production or overhaul in front of the standard two-digit number (e.g. 8223 = tram #23 manufactured in 1982). That`s a very common system in North America, but not in Europe
