The vehicle left to the PAZ is apparently from a Danish operator "Ø Bussen I/S". I can not find any record of this operator nor the vehicle.
Coraz ciężej spotkać taki sprzęt na Litwie Chyba, że na prowincjach się coś chowa.
wedlug fotobusa jakies 5-10 szt. jezdzi w mniejszych miastach na liniach podmiejskich, ale nie wiem na ile sa to aktualne informacje // according to fotobus, 5-10 units are still operating on suburban routes in smaller cities, but I`m not sure whether that information is up-to-date
I tried to search it on Lituanian pages as well - without any success.
There is almost no information about commercial buses (like BVG860) anywhere in Lithuania. About PAZ-672M, there are still running in Biržai. Also there are several buses used for charters (wedding, birthday, etc.)
Thank you anyway. The firm "Ø-Bussen I/S" must indeed be a Danish one (mening the "Island Bus"), but I can find no information about it here. The vehicle type Ford-Van Hool is also very unusual in Denmark. These were local vehicles running from Klaipeda railay station and down town, but clearly not belonging to the KLAP at that time.
In the 90`s there were many people who had only one small bus, minibus or even a van, plus license to carry passengers on certain route. 9 out of 10 such routes were exact copies of bus routes ran by KLAP. And very often there were people carrying passengers without any license because no one really cared. In Klaipėda such wild "private business" was calmed down only in early 00`s when "Klaipėdos keleivinis transportas" was created to overlook and optimize normal bus routes ran by KLAP, Gintarinis Vairas and Pajūrio autobusai. Most minibuses "died" due to low passenger demand, some were closed in 2012-2013 and now only #6 8 9 and 10 are remaining.
Only one city`s normal public transport was "killed" by private minibuses - Alytus. It used to have articulated Ikarus 280 and 2nd hand Van Hool buses but today - everything here is not even a midi bus (like Solaris Alpino / Urbinetto) - only regular minibuses or low entry ones. Also you will not find full and correct bus line information and schedules on the internet and even at stops.
I remember to have been using such small buses in Vilnius in these years.
Thankfully, in Vilnius we no longer have private minibuses where you always have to pay driver and, very often, do not get a ticket. From 2013-07-01 all private minibuses (share taxi) are gone. From 2013-11 there were 3 private companies which started to work as subcontractors on VVT routes but within single ticket system. 2 of them are minibus companies but for passengers it is even better. For example line 20 used to have 2 buses with 40-50 min. intervals and now there is 1 bus and 5 extra minibuses which make intervals 12-20 min.
