OK, but remember they have run for 50 years, so something must be right about them - the first European PCC design, too, a long time before Konstal and Tatra. But, I agree about the look - give me a T1 or T2 any day - preferably with some track, so I can run a T2 in my garden - heaven!

The really big drawback with these (and with all the later articulated PCCs in Bruxelles) is the very narrow divided doorways with a grab rail halfway across - makes it very difficult for people with baggage, mothers with prams and even fat old tram fans like me to get on and off. This makes them very slow to load and unload at stops when things are busy.
Tell me about it - the Dutch ones we have in Poznan are a pain in the arse as well...
