I use Pentax 18-250 lens, and stay far from tunnel. But later, in evening, while taking photos of Volga river from tripod, on embankment near Sovetskaya street, i was stopped by policemen troop.
They asked: "You have very professional camera (Pentax K10D+Pentax18-250), and you may be a terrorist". They check all my documents, hotel reservation, tickets to train from Moscow to Volgograd, ticket to airplane from Volograd to Moscow, and begin watch photos on camera. It was wery good fortune for me, because i show him 4-5 photos of landscape or architecture, and they not seen transport photos.
It was center of city, constantly filled by tourists, like Victoria Embankment in London or Wybrzeże Gdańskie in Warshava.
Yep - ironically they do the same thing in London Always target those that have the biggest and poshest cameras, not those that have mobile phones and could take pictures when pretending to write a text message Fortunately I've not been pulled over yet, even though the Met (London Metropolitan Police) keeps putting up those stupid posters asking people to report 'unusual' photographers.
