17 august 2012 - Edinburgh, Johnston Terrace. Zastanawiałem się czy turystyczne autobusy były od nowości przygotowane do tej roli, czy przebudowano je po wycofaniu z liniowego użytku - zdjęcie Spawacza sprzed paru lat rozwiało moje wątpliwości. Autobusy w Edinburghu emeryturę spędzają z turystami.

30 july 2007 - Edinburgh, Calder Road. Z tego co zauważyłem, to chyba żaden przewoźnik w Szkocji nie posiada dużego holownika. Do zepsutego autobusu wysyłany jest mechanik (albo kilku), który naprawia go na miejscu. Jeżeli awaria jest bardzo poważna, to wtedy przyjeżdża holownik z firmy, z którą przewoźnik ma stosowną umowę.

22 august 2008 - Edinburgh, Waterloo Pl. Widok na zakorkowaną Princes Street. Jest to jedna z głownych ulic miasta, w szczycie od North Bridge do Shandwick Pl jedzie się około 30 minut, o ile dobrze pamiętam. Pieszo zaś idzie się z 10 minut. Masakra :D

W Warszawie później zaczną i szybciej skończą budowę tramwaju na Tarchomin i centralnego odcinka II linii metra (oby).

W latach 70. i 80. brytyjskie miasta przeżywały podobne problemy jak obecnie polskie - dawne ośrodki przemysłowe podupadły, rosło bezrobocie, a miasta nie miały pomysłu co zrobić z opuszczonym ogromnymi budynkami fabrycznymi. Wiele z nich przekształcono potem w różne obiekty kulturalne, rozrywkowe i handlowe.

Na przystanku startowym tej linii na lotnisku wiszą wielkie plakaty z informacją, iż jeśli chcemy dostać się do centrum koniecznie trzeba skorzystać z Airlink 100 lub tramwaju :D co jest oczywiście nieprawdą.
Jeśli komuś nie zależy na czasie warto skorzystać właśnie z 35 zamiast wytypowanego Airlinka lub tramsa. Linia zahacza o centrum z tym, że czas przejazdu wynosi około 1h. Za to cena rewelacyjna - tylko £1.50.
