3 august 2011 - Calcutta, Esplanade bus station. After the privatisation of the bus routes (during the reign of the Communist Party of India!) Calcutta became full of these colourful contraptions. The body is part-steel and part-wood, whereas the chassis is a universal Tata chassis, which can be fitted out with either a lorry or a bus body.

14 february 2017 - Kolkata, Strand Road / Mahatma Gandhi Road. Oczekując (tego dnia bezskutecznie) na tramwaj sfotografowałem autobus w średnim stanie. Widziałem gorsze. Pozdzierane poszycie to norma. Czasem delikatnie coś przyhaczy... A na dodatek policjant kierujący ruchem na skrzyżowaniu wyklepie bok pojazdu drewnianym kijem (czyżby popychał autobus tak, jak pogania się bydło?).

14 february 2017 - Kolkata, Rabindra Sarani / Sobha Bazar Street. Podczas (nieudanego tego dnia) oczekiwania na tramwaj sfotografowałem takiego ojca. Dopiero podróżujące z nami panie zauważyły, że wśród wielu dekoracji pojazdu są też świeże kwiaty.

1 august 2011 - Calcutta, B.B.D. Bag. And something else I managed to find. The shortest-wheelbase version of the Tata 1210 is a very popular bus in Calcutta - mainly because it\''s cheap and it fills up with passengers fast - both being important from a private operator\''s point of view.
