For many years, the Rosario trolleybus system consisted of only one route K, running in the east-west direction from the university campus through the city center to the western suburbs. In July 2017, a new route Q was added to the network. It shares its first half in the city center with route K, and then makes a 90-degree left turn, continuing towards the southern outskirts. The new 7-km / 4.5-mi section does not include any wiring and therefore route Q is operated with recently purchased 12 battery-equipped Trolza 5265.03 units.

Nowe Megapolisy nie są pierwszymi rosyjskimi trolejbusami w Rosario - na początku lat 80. zakupiono kilka ziutków, jednak ówczesny prywatny operator sieci trolejbusowej dosyć szybko zrezygnował z ich eksploatacji.
