Following the delivery of 299 vehicles from DAB on the Leyland LIDRT 1/2 SP chassis, a second major delivery (the "Serie 2") was delivered from 1967 till 1970. The prototype (no. 211) had been delivered in 1966. Until 1970 further 250 vehicles (nos. 261-510) were delivered to the KS. All 251 vehicles were merged into the fleet of Hovedstadsområdets Trafikselskab (HT) in 1974. 20 similar vehicles were delivered to Amagerbanen A/S (nos. 1035-1054). They were merged into the fleet of the HT in 1974 (HT nos. 2035-2054). The first vehicles were withdrawn from service with the HT in 1980. The last one was withdrawn from service with the HT in 1989. The "Serie 2" was the standard diesel bus model of Dansk Automobil Byggeri (DAB) from 1967 till 1975. It was delivered in various models, the major part on Leyland LIDRT 12/2, 12/2 and 12/4 chassis to several public and private Danish operators. Another 24 vehicles on the LIDRT 12/4 chassis were delivered to CGTE/TPG in Geneva in 1970-1971. http://myldretid.dk/artikler/nr/64 | |
